Offering obedience, confidence building, problem solving and agility. All levels of training are available. Individualized. Small Classes. All breeds welcome.
NEW CLASSES STARTING
- Novice/Beginning- for dogs who have not had training or need review. Focus is on Loose Leash Walking, Stay, Sit, Come, Down, Down Stay and distractions. 5 week program: Starts January 7,2012- 2:00-2:50 5 Saturdays Pre-registration required. Cost $99.
The number one reason dogs are given-up is due to behavioral problems. Dogs adopted from rescues, animal control and humane societies receive 50% discount on Beginning Training if taken within one year of adoption and with proof of adoption.
Novice/ Agility- Dog should be able to sit, stay, come. Completion of a beginning class is recommended. Focus is on foundations of basic agility, use of A-frame, weave poles, tunnels, ramp and jumps. Class fee includes unlimited access to the agility field for the duration of the classes. 6 week program: 6 Consecutive Saturdays. Pre-registration required. Cost $150.
Dogs attending training classes will need verification of Rabies and Distemper. Bordatella must be given within six months. Dogs must be social enough to work in a group class setting.
Private Lessons-Private sessions at your home. Recommended for adult dogs with specific issues.Cost $60-75 per hour
Head Trainer, Ken Brown has over 30 years experience which includes training dogs for search and rescue, police and service work. Ken trains the "untrainable," doggie school dropouts, and pups of all breeds. Ken originates from the Virgin Isles where he completed his training under movie trainer Richard Calkins. Ken continued his training in Yonkers, New York at the K-9 School for Dogs. In addition to providing board and train programs at the Kennels, group agility training and private home lessons, Ken also works with dogs at Woods Humane Society.
Board and Train- Recommended for ownerswho have little time to train. Cost $325-$375 per week (plus boarding charge)
